Linda Tillery and the Cultural Heritage Choir: This is the web site of the Grammy nominated Cultural Heritage Choir in which I am a founding member. Go here for our tour schedule, news and information. We are an a ccapella/percussion driven ensemble, specializing in African American roots folk music.
Erika Luckett: Erika Luckett-amazing singer/songwriter/guitar monster. Multi-lingual, Latina low singing sister.
Sonya Heller Music: Sultry singer/songwriter from NYC w/ a voice that is soulful and fluid. Great songwriting w/ hip, big city cool.
Margie Adam: One of the founding mothers of Women's music. Pianist, songwriter and activist and one of my favorite concert partners.
Ysaye Maria Barnwell: Composer, teacher, longtime member and now the 'head Honey 'of 'Sweet Honey in the Rock'. She brings the gift of communal singing to folks all around the world. Another amazing, deep voiced singing sister!
Taos Music Online: Taos is my heart's home and this site showcases many of Tao's great musicians including Jenny Bird and Adrienne Braswell.
Kitka: Women's Vocal Ensemble: Kitka is an a ccapella women's ensemble that speciallizes in the music of the Balkans. There one of the most exciting vocal groups out there. They sing in many languages and show case music from Russia, Bulgaria, Albania, etc. Their dazzling vocal production will knock you out!
Rajaton: Rajaton( Finnish for Boundless) is an incredilbe accapella ensemble based in Helsinki, Finland. Their singing, harmony, vocal prodution will knock you out. Finland has a deep singing tradition and Rajaton is a shining example of the Finnish musical culture.
Edge of Wonder: Jennifer Berezan is the visionary responsible for 'Praises for the World' An amazing ritual concert that celebrates in song, poetry and dance the beauty of this planet we call Earth. There's a wonderful dvd of the show in case you haven't had the pleasure of being there. You'll hear and see great performances by Linda Tillery, Rhiannon, Erika Luckett, Patti Cathcart, Dance Brigade, Terry Sendgraff's Pod Women, the words of Alice Walker and Drew Dellinger and so much more.
Anne Bluthenthal & Dancers: I had the great honor of sharing my voice w/this company and working as part of "Unsing the Song" a beautiful, moving piece about genocide. Anne's vision of how the world should be and the power of dance as a tool for change makes this company very special.
Psalms of Ra: This site features the work of composer Jim Berenholtz. This vocal/ orchestral work is based on Hebrew and ancient Egyptian texts and I am fortunate to be one of the featured soloists. The musical landscape created by Jim is at once ancient and new, a truely diverse lyrical journey filled w/ reverence and wonder.

Organizations

Institute for the Musical Arts: IMA- Founding by the great Rock and Roll pioneering gruitarist-June Millington ( Remember Fanny?). Women can go there to learn anything and everything about the music industry-from studio recording, to concert production. They run a summer rock and roll camp for girls( I'm the vocal coach this summer-can't wait!) and much, much more!
SPEAKOUT!: This is an institute for democratic education and culture that features speakers, artists, etc w/ progressive world views. You can find Noam Chomsky or Angela Davis and yes-me. This is the ultimate speakers bureau. Check out their roster!
Middle East Children's Alliance: MECA is a non-profit organization that works for justice in the Middle East. I've had the pleasure of performing at many of their concerts, lectures and fund raisers. Want to know how the children are surviving in Palestine, Israel and Iraq? Find out here.
